The OSHC program compliments the formal school curriculum and provides children with opportunities to further develop socially, emotionally and cognitively. School classrooms are very structured and curriculum based, whereas at OSHC the learning is developed around children’s interests and incorporated through play experiences. In OSHC, children have the opportunity to socially engage with children in different year levels which provides them with opportunities to form friendships with children not in their immediate group of peers. Play and leisure is very important to children as it enables them to develop creativity and problem solving skills whilst being guided by our experienced and dedicated team members.

For some children, OSHC can be the only chance they have to engage in cooking experiences, learn about gardening, participate in team games and interact with children outside their generic class group. In addition, the OSHC program assists children in developing a strong sense of identity, provides each child with a sense of belonging and enables them to discover who they are as individuals in the world. All our programs are guided by the My Time Our Place framework, the programs we develop are child focused, child initiated and connected to both the school and the children’s world beyond.
