Welcome to Warrigal Road OSHC
YMCA Warrigal Road is located on Yuggera land in Eight Mile Plains and is part of a multi-cultural and linguistically diverse school community.
We are located in the School Hall and offer an exciting range of indoor and outdoor activities, and our children and educators love being outside amongst the large trees and outdoor play spaces in the school. We are licensed for 150 children and offer Before School Care, After School Care and Vacation Care between the hours of 6:30am and 6pm.
We provide a healthy and delicious vegetarian menu that reflects our families and makes our children feel at home.
Our service philosophy prioritises community and belonging, children’s agency and the importance of spontaneous, multi-age play in middle childhood. We offer a range of planned and spontaneous experiences for children to learn through play. We follow the My Time, Our Place National Quality Framework for School Aged Care and are advocates of childhood.
We offer a range of exciting activities for children such as Chinese classes, fine arts, nature walks, yoga, chess and much more.
We walk preps to and from their classrooms and provide delicious and nutritious food for children at YMCA.
Our Team
Our service consists of a team of thirteen educators with a broad range of experiences and qualifications, including sports and training, science, teaching and early childhood education. Our educators speak many languages, including: English, Gujerati, Punjabi, Hindi, Tamil, Swahili, Ma’di, Sinhalese, Mandarin, Taiwanese Chinese and Vietnamese.
Our management team consists of our Coordinator and two Assistant Coordinators. Our Coordinator, Paris McLaughlin, has worked in Outside School Hours Care for six years and is passionate about Middle Childhood and play-based learning. Madhvi Laxman and Kasey Lommerse are our Assistant Coordinators. Madhvi has a wealth of experience and has been serving the YMCA Warrigal Road community for more than five years and also responsible for the development of our delicious and nutritious vegetarian menu. Kasey has worked in Outside School Hours Care for four years and is our Educational Leader, responsible for our program and practice.

Please note that the office is not manned at all times as we are often on the floor with the children; if you need to get in touch, the best way is via email and we will get back to you as soon as possible. Please note that we cannot help with administrative tasks such as enrolments or statements between 8-9am and 3-4pm as we are signing children in and out at these times.
